The Stack
- Structured logging with correlation IDs flowing through every service
- Prometheus + Grafana for metrics collection and dashboarding
- OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing across all services
- Custom alerting rules with PagerDuty integration
- Error tracking with automatic grouping and assignment
Key Practices
Every request gets a unique trace ID at the edge. That ID flows through the API gateway, application servers, background workers, and database queries. When something goes wrong, one trace ID tells us the complete story.
